Billy most recently co-founded and was Executive Chairman of Kilimanjaro Energy, a clean energy startup funded by ARCH Venture Partners and the Comer Education & Science Foundation. Previously he was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in the Principal Strategies group and a Partner of Spear Leeds & Kellogg. He chairs or sits on various non-profit investment committees or boards. Billy has a MPA from Columbia University, a BA from Yale University and a CFA.
Andrew is an interdisciplinary product development manager with a background in consumer electronics, mobile lifestyle and app-enhanced accessories. Formerly he led design and development at iHome, a leader in iOS charging & audio accessories. He has a MA in Design Management from Pratt Institute and an Industrial Design degree from Philadelphia University. His work includes over 22 patents, along with the successful design, implementation and market introduction of more than 75 products.
Ross has 20 years of experience as a Software Developer, Systems Administrator, and Project Manager in the Financial Services industry. Most recently, as a Vice President at Morgan Stanley he designed and managed large-scale systems used across all lines of business. This is his first start-up. He holds a MA in History from the University at Albany.
Pete Harrison co-founded Brightbox while bartending at some of the top nightlife spots in NYC to pay for graduate school. He has over 10 years of experience in hospitality and customer service while working for companies including BR Guest, EMM Group, and John DeLucie. He was also a freelance copy writer. This is his first startup. He holds a BA in History from the College of the Holy Cross and a MUP from Columbia University.
Deana joined the Brightbox team in 2012 after being introduced to the product by the founders. She graduated with a degree in Marketing and a concentration in Advertising and Promotion from Pace University in Manhattan. She also studied abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney.
Bob is the founder of Tech Products, a New Jersey-based engineering and manufacturing firm. Bob founded Tech Products in 1992, and has grown it to a full-service prototyping and high-quality manufacturing firm with products including industrial-scale packaging, high-reliability firefighting equipment, consumer products such as a music download kiosk for Starbucks, and commercial displays for Macy’s, Armani, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, and more. Bob graduated from MIT in 1988 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Rob, an investor and consultant to start-up technology companies, currently serves on the boards of directors of Koko Fitness, Convenient Cards, and BrightBox. He was formerly President and COO of Montreal-based Discreet Logic from startup to initial public offering. Before that he was Corporate Counsel at Thinking Machines Corporation; Vice-President-Administration, General Counsel, at Rise Technology, also from start-up to initial public offering; and an associate attorney at a law firm specializing in intellectual property. Rob has a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Ed is the senior partner of Reitler Kailas & Rosenblatt, a law firm that represents venture stage companies and venture funds. He is also a founder of Angel Round Capital, the only member led venture fund in the New York metro region. Previously, Ed was associated with Cravath, Swaine & Moore. He sits on the boards of Business Financial Solutions, the second largest global cash advance company, and Gcommerce, a SaaS based EDI supply chain management solutions company. Ed has a BA from the University of South Carolina Honors College and a JD from Harvard Law School.
